JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com — Inchcape GWM Indonesia has opened its 18th dealership in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area of North Jakarta, as the automaker steps up efforts to expand its retail and aftersales network in Indonesia.

The outlet, located in Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, is the first GWM dealership operated by PT Wahana Wirawan, part of the Indomobil Group, marking a new partnership aimed at strengthening distribution in the capital’s northern corridor.

Chief Executive Officer Bagus Susanto said the new facility is intended to improve customer access while supporting the company’s broader growth strategy.

“The inauguration of GWM PIK reflects our ongoing effort to expand our sales and service network in Indonesia,” Bagus said, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 29, 2026. “We aim to improve accessibility for customers in North Jakarta and surrounding areas.”

GWM has been expanding its presence in Indonesia by introducing a mix of hybrid, battery electric and internal combustion engine vehicles, in line with its global multi-powertrain strategy.

Bagus added that the company’s commitment to the Indonesian market is also reflected in its investment in a manufacturing facility in Wanaherang, West Java, developed in collaboration with its global parent and distribution partner.

Separately, PT Wahana Wirawan CEO Santiko Wardoyo said the dealership marks the company’s entry into GWM’s network, citing confidence in the brand’s growth potential in the country.

“Joining the Inchcape GWM Indonesia network is a strategic move for us, as we see strong potential for GWM in Indonesia’s automotive market,” Santiko said.

Pantai Indah Kapuk, one of North Jakarta’s fastest-growing residential and commercial hubs, is seen as a strategic location to capture demand from upper-middle segment consumers.

GWM has been steadily increasing its dealership footprint in Indonesia, as competition intensifies in the hybrid and electric vehicle segments.
