BEKASI, JakartaWeekly.com — Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Indonesia (CCEP Indonesia) has commissioned a 1.4-megawatt peak (MWp) rooftop solar power plant at its Bekasi-2 production facility. The installation, inaugurated on November 4, 2026, is projected to help reduce emissions by up to 1.89 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) annually.
Dhedy Adi Nugroho, Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability Director at CCEP Indonesia, said the project forms part of the company’s long-term journey towards more sustainable operations.
“The commissioning of the rooftop solar power plant at Bekasi-2 Plant is a concrete step towards increasing the use of renewable energy in our operations while reducing carbon emissions. We believe collaboration with various partners will be a key factor in accelerating the transition towards a lower-carbon future,” Dhedy said recently.
The rooftop solar installation covers an area of 9,669 square metres. The project was developed in collaboration with PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk, which supported the provision of solar energy solutions for the CCEP Indonesia production facility.
The Bekasi-2 rooftop solar project builds on CCEP Indonesia’s previous rooftop solar installations at several other production facilities. The initiative is part of the company’s efforts to expand renewable energy use across its operations, reduce its carbon footprint and support industrial decarbonisation in Indonesia.
Eniya Listiani Dewi, Director General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), welcomed the private sector’s role in supporting Indonesia’s national energy transition agenda.
“Achieving energy transition targets requires collaboration among all stakeholders. We welcome CCEP Indonesia’s efforts to expand the use of renewable energy in the manufacturing sector, as well as PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk’s support in providing environmentally friendly energy solutions,” Eniya said.
PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk served as the project’s implementation partner, supporting the development and provision of rooftop solar solutions. This support enables CCEP Indonesia to expand renewable energy use at its production facilities, particularly within PT Cikarang Listrindo Tbk’s operating area.
The collaboration highlights the importance of partnerships between the manufacturing sector and energy solution providers in advancing the transition towards a low-carbon industry.
In addition to the rooftop solar power plant commissioning, the event featured a discussion titled “Accelerating the Energy Transition through Collaboration between Industry and Energy Solution Providers for Sustainable Industry”. The discussion brought together government representatives, industry players and various stakeholders to discuss ways to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy in Indonesia.
