JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com – Hyundai Motor Company introduced two concept cars ahead of Auto China 2026, which will take place on April 24, 2026—namely the Venus Concept and the Earth SUV Concept.
Li Fenggang, President of Beijing Hyundai Motor Company, stated that through these two concept vehicles, the company will continue to deliver products that reflect a deep understanding of Chinese consumers.
“And demonstrate our strong commitment to this market. Based on the IONIQ principles that prioritize safety and world-class quality, Hyundai will soon introduce mass-production models that combine intelligent cabins and driving experiences tailored to the preferences of Chinese consumers,” he said in a press release on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
He added that the Venus and Earth concept cars mark the first step in Hyundai Motor’s new strategy in China, while also serving as design benchmarks for future mass-produced IONIQ models.

Carrying the philosophy “Lead, don’t follow,” both concept vehicles feature distinctive and recognizable single-curve silhouettes, creating a strong first impression.
He explained that the Venus design is inspired by the timeless beauty of the brightest planet, positioning it as a new icon in the sedan segment.
On the exterior, the vehicle features a Radiant Gold color that reflects the spirit of innovation, exploration, and success. Meanwhile, the interior showcases a luminous Venus atmosphere through layered ambient lighting.
The use of contrasting materials—soft suede and seatbacks with gold chrome accents—reinforces its premium feel, while the friendly “Lumi” character is introduced to create a warmer interaction between driver and vehicle.
The model is also equipped with advanced technologies, evident in its lightweight framed roof structure and transparent spoiler. Its signature one-curve silhouette further emphasizes its unique profile, delivering a sleek yet distinctive design identity.
Meanwhile, Earth is an SUV that reflects the biological balance of planet Earth, presented as a rugged and character-filled family SUV.

Its exterior adopts a futuristic look with the “Aurora Shield” color, bold line accents, and a dynamic body impression, complemented by sturdy details such as a skid plate and exposed bolt elements.
Inside, the cabin is designed as a “small Earth,” offering comfort through innovative “air-hug” seats made of soft air modules.
Calming ambient lighting resembling tree shadows, along with intelligent “shy-tech” elements, creates a serene and spacious atmosphere. Meanwhile, the playful “Aero” character and a hidden Beijing map pattern evoke a sense of adventure.
