JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com – Procureship, an e-procurement platform provider for the maritime industry, is expanding its global footprint by onboarding more than a dozen major shipowners from Asia and the Middle East, as it deepens its penetration into key shipping hubs beyond Europe.
Procureship’s Head of Sales APAC, Gary Yeow, said the shipowners originate from several countries, including Singapore, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
“Some of the major Asian shipping companies currently using the Procureship platform include BW Group [Singapore], Angelicoussis Group through Maran Ship Supplies [Singapore], Suntech Ship Management [Singapore], MTT Shipping [Malaysia], and Great Eastern Shipping [India],” he said in a statement on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

He noted that many shipowners have joined the platform as Procureship continues to strengthen its presence in strategic maritime hubs, particularly since commencing operations in Singapore in late 2023.
The move, he added, is aimed at addressing the needs of shipping companies that are increasingly shifting toward automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced technologies in procurement processes to respond to rising demand and rapidly evolving market dynamics.
In the Middle East, Procureship is also expanding its reach by attracting new users from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
“Globally, the platform is now used by more than 110 shipowners and operators across 21 countries to enhance procurement effectiveness, support data-driven decision-making, reduce costs, lower carbon emissions, and improve operational efficiency,” he said.

He claimed that Procureship helps global shipping companies meet their procurement needs by providing access to more than 10,000 suppliers of spare parts and maritime services, while delivering a purchasing workflow that is 98% automated through machine learning and digital technologies.
“Our growth in Asia and the Middle East reflects Procureship’s approach in delivering innovative and modern procurement solutions, backed by more than a decade of experience in navigating the complexities of the modern shipping supply chain,” Yeow said.
