JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com – Grab Indonesia has announced the discontinuation of the Akses Hemat Subscription Program for its two-wheel transportation driver-partners (GrabBike). The company said the move was made as adjustments are needed to further improve the program and support a sustainable ecosystem for all stakeholders.
Grab Indonesia CEO Neneng Goenadi said the GrabBike Hemat service for consumers will remain available, although measured fare adjustments will be implemented.
“The adjustments will be carried out in a measured manner while continuing to prioritize affordability for the public,” Neneng said in an official statement, Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
She said, Grab also confirmed that fares for the GrabBike Standard service have not increased to date.
At the same time, the company reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding driver-partners’ welfare amid the ongoing dynamics of the ride-hailing industry. According to Neneng, Grab will continue rolling out its existing welfare programs for driver-partners.
These programs include the Religious Holiday Bonus (Bonus Hari Raya/BHR), BPJS Ketenagakerjaan facilitation with contributions covered for high-performing partners, additional accident insurance, GrabScholar scholarships for drivers’ children, Umrah programs for inspirational partners, and training through GrabAcademy.
In addition, the company will continue providing other benefits such as GrabBenefits and the GERCEP (Grab Rapid Response) emergency assistance channel.
Grab Indonesia said it will continue coordinating with the government and relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of Presidential Regulation No. 27 of 2026 for GrabBike driver-partners.
