GIIAS 2026 Surabaya Provides 79 Vehicles for Test Drives and Test Rides

SURABAYA, Jakartaweekly.com—The organizers of the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 Surabaya have prepared 79 vehicles for test drives and test rides.

Abiyoso Wietono, Project Director of GIIAS, said the test drive and test ride programs are among the many activities most eagerly anticipated by visitors at every GIIAS event.

“The test drive and test ride areas are provided to give visitors the opportunity to experience firsthand the performance, comfort and technological features of their dream vehicles before making a purchase,” he said in Surabaya recently.

He said that of the 79 vehicles prepared this year, 66 are cars, while the remaining 13 are motorcycles. The dozens of vehicles are intended to give visitors a real driving experience before they decide which vehicle to purchase.

Visitors who wish to drive or ride the vehicles in the test drive and test ride areas must register in advance. Registration is available at the registration booth located in the outdoor area of the exhibition venue.

The test drive area, he said, features a 1.4-kilometer route around the Grand City complex in Surabaya, allowing visitors to directly experience the comfort and key features of the available vehicles.

Meanwhile, the test ride area is located specifically in the outdoor area of Grand City and features obstacles designed to provide a more realistic riding experience similar to riding on public roads.

To ensure safety and comfort for everyone, visitors must bring a valid driver’s license, comply with all traffic and driving regulations, and wear seat belts at all times during test drives.

Visitors participating in the test ride must wear helmets and long pants and keep their speed below the maximum limit of 40 kilometers per hour.

To enjoy the test drive and test ride facilities as well as other activities, visitors can purchase tickets through the Auto360 application for the August 22–30, 2026 event. Tickets are priced at Rp25,000 on weekdays and Rp40,000 on weekends.

On-the-spot ticket purchases are also available at the exhibition venue at Rp35,000 on weekdays and Rp50,000 on weekends.
