INDOMEDEX Awards 2026 Recognizes Healthcare Excellence in Indonesia

PT Debindo Global Expo (DEBINDO), through Indonesia Medical Expo (INDOMEDEX), has launched the inaugural INDOMEDEX Awards 2026, recognizing hospitals, healthcare providers, companies, and brands for their contributions to innovation and the development of Indonesia’s healthcare sector.

Held on September 9 at Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), PIK 2, Jakarta, the awards formed part of the INDOMEDEX platform, which brings together government institutions, hospitals, healthcare providers, industry players, technology companies, and other stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem.

Organized in collaboration with the Indonesian Hospital Association (PERSI), the awards were designed to highlight institutions and industry players that have demonstrated achievements in healthcare services, medical technology, innovation, and healthcare solutions.

The event was attended by representatives from the government, healthcare associations, hospitals, industry players, and other stakeholders, providing an opportunity to recognize achievements while encouraging greater collaboration across Indonesia’s healthcare ecosystem.

PT Debindo Global Expo Director Rafidi Iqra Muhamad said collaboration among stakeholders would remain important in supporting innovation and strengthening Indonesia’s healthcare industry.

“We hope INDOMEDEX will continue to develop into a platform that brings together Indonesia’s entire healthcare ecosystem to share knowledge, introduce innovations, build collaboration, and contribute to improving the quality of healthcare services in Indonesia,” Rafidi said.

The event also brought together several healthcare leaders and policymakers, including dr. Yanuar Jak, Sp.OG, MARS, PhD, Chair of PERSI DKI Jakarta; dr. Yanti Herman, S.H., M.H. Kes., Director of Health Service Development at the Ministry of Health; and Anna Kurniati, S.KM., M.A., Ph.D., Secretary of the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices at the Ministry of Health.

Yanuar said the awards represented an opportunity to recognize healthcare professionals and institutions that continue to improve services and introduce innovation.

“Through our collaboration with PERSI DKI Jakarta, INDOMEDEX presents these awards as a form of appreciation for professionals and healthcare institutions that continue to drive innovation, improve service quality, and make a tangible contribution to the advancement of Indonesia’s healthcare sector,” he said.

The awards featured three main categories: Hospital Recognition, Healthcare Brand Excellence, and Outstanding Healthcare Brand.

The Hospital Recognition category included nine awards covering areas such as social care impact, medical technology, academic and referral healthcare, medical quality, neurological care, service excellence, specialized care, patient experience, and corporate governance.

Among the recipients were Tzu Chi Hospital for Excellence in Social Care Impact, Mandaya Royal Hospital Puri for Excellence in Medical Technology Practice, RSUP Nasional Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo for Leadership in Academic & Referral Healthcare, and RS Jantung dan Pembuluh Darah Harapan Kita for Leadership in Medical Quality.

Meanwhile, the Healthcare Brand Excellence category recognized 14 companies and brands across areas including pharmaceutical solutions, biopharmaceutical innovation, medical equipment, healthcare technology, IoT solutions, medical manufacturing, diagnostic imaging, hospital equipment, medical distribution, and sustainable healthcare innovation.

Recipients included PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria, Kalbe Farma, GEA Medical, Philips Healthcare Indonesia, PT Medtronic Indonesia, and other healthcare companies.

The Outstanding Healthcare Brand category featured five awards covering healthcare technology, women’s health solutions, after-sales services, emergency mobility, and hospital laboratory solutions. Recipients included Siemens Healthineers Indonesia, Beyond Medical Indonesia, PT Surgika Alkesindo, PT Ambulance Pintar Indonesia, and PT Sarana Maju Sejahtera.

In total, 28 recipients received INDOMEDEX Awards 2026, comprising nine hospitals and 19 healthcare companies and brands.

The awards reflect the growing range of contributions within Indonesia’s healthcare ecosystem, from improving patient services and adopting medical technologies to developing healthcare products, strengthening support services, and advancing sustainable innovation.

Beyond the recognition itself, INDOMEDEX aims to use the platform to encourage greater exchange of knowledge, business networking, and collaboration among healthcare stakeholders. The organizers said continued cooperation between hospitals, healthcare providers, government institutions, technology companies, and industry players would be important in supporting the sector’s future development.
