REDMI Note 17 Series Compared: Prices and Key Differences Across Variants

JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com—Xiaomi has officially launched the REDMI Note 17 Series in Indonesia, comprising four models: the REDMI Note 17, REDMI Note 17 5G, REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, and REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G. The four models are offered in several RAM and storage configurations, with prices ranging from Rp3,999,000 to Rp8,499,000.

Xiaomi Indonesia Country Director Michael Feng said the REDMI Note 17 Series was developed around the REDMI Titan Quality approach, covering device durability, battery capacity and after-sales support.

Of the four models, the REDMI Note 17 is the most affordable option, while the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G sits at the top of the lineup with a 10,000mAh battery, 100W charging and additional features.

Based on data from Xiaomi, each model differs in several key areas, including network connectivity, chipset, battery capacity, charging capability, camera system, materials and durability, as well as RAM and storage capacity.

The higher-end models also come with more extensive device features and after-sales services.

REDMI Note 17

The REDMI Note 17 is the most affordable model in the lineup. Xiaomi offers two storage options, 128GB and 256GB, both paired with 6GB of RAM.

• 6GB/256GB: Rp4,299,000

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2, built on a 6nm process, with CPU speeds of up to 2.9GHz. It features a 6.99-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2396 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

For power, the REDMI Note 17 packs a 7,700mAh battery with 45W charging. It features a 50MP main camera and a 16MP front-facing camera.

REDMI Note 17 5G

The REDMI Note 17 5G adds 5G connectivity, with the higher-end configuration also offering more RAM and storage.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, built on a 4nm process, with CPU speeds of up to 2.3GHz. It has the same 7,700mAh battery capacity as the REDMI Note 17 and supports 45W charging.

The REDMI Note 17 5G also features a 6.99-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a 50MP main camera and a 16MP front-facing camera.

REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G

The REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G sits one tier below the Pro Max model and is available in three configurations.

• 6GB/256GB: Rp5,699,000
• 8GB/256GB: Rp5,999,000
• 8GB/512GB: Rp6,999,000

The model is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, built on a 4nm process, with CPU speeds of up to 2.4GHz. It packs an 8,340mAh battery and supports 67W HyperCharge.

The smartphone features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits.

For photography, the REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G comes with a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 16MP front-facing camera.

The model also carries TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification, along with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance.

REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is the top model in the REDMI Note 17 Series.

• 8GB/256GB: Rp7,499,000
• 8GB/512GB: Rp8,499,000

The most notable difference is its battery capacity. The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G features a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and supports 100W HyperCharge and 27W reverse charging.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, built on a 4nm process, and comes with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for both the 256GB and 512GB variants.

It features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. The display also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

For photography, the Pro Max variant features a 50MP main camera with OIS and an f/1.5 aperture, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 32MP front-facing camera. The model also supports 4K video recording at 30 frames per second.

Alongside the price differences, Xiaomi is offering several promotional programs. The REDMI Note 17 and REDMI Note 17 5G are eligible for a Rp300,000 discount during the early-bird period from September 16 to October 31, 2026.

Meanwhile, the REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G and REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G come with an additional Rp400,000 discount and a free REDMI Watch 5 Active during the pre-order period from September 16 to 24, 2026.
