TANGERANG, Jakartaweekly.com — PT Laris Chandra is using its participation in Automechanika Jakarta 2026 to expand its business-to-business (B2B) network and seek distributors to market its products.

PT Laris Chandra Brand Strategist Johnson Wijaya said the company’s participation in Automechanika Jakarta marks its first appearance at the exhibition in Indonesia. The company is showcasing an ecosystem of products designed to support the needs of two-wheel and four-wheel vehicle users.

“Our target is to reach as many new B2B partners as possible, as well as distributors that can market our products,” Johnson said in Tangerang on Thursday, Sept 24, 2026.

According to Johnson, Laris Chandra operates as a distributor while also functioning as a principal in terms of marketing. The principal provides product targets, while Laris Chandra handles how the products are packaged in Indonesia, distributed, and communicated through marketing activities.

“We are indeed a distributor, but in terms of marketing, we actually function as the principal. So all marketing activities are under us, rather than under the principal,” he said.

At Automechanika Jakarta 2026, Laris Chandra is also introducing its product ecosystem. For oil, engine-related needs, engine performance, fuel additives, engine flush, power steering, and brake fluids, the company offers products from STP.

For coolant products, Laris Chandra has the Preston brand. One of the products introduced at the exhibition is Preston Racing, which is specifically intended for racing cars.

Johnson said Preston Racing uses a non-ethylene glycol base. However, the product has not yet been tested for use in regular passenger vehicles, so for the time being, its marketing communication is primarily focused on racing applications.

“We haven’t tested it yet. To be honest, this product only became available yesterday and we just launched it today, so we haven’t tested it yet. For the time being, our communication is therefore focused more on racing,” he said.

In addition to Preston Racing, Laris Chandra is preparing Preston Core Guard to support electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid applications. The product is said to meet the requirements for EV and hybrid vehicles.

For brake fluid, the company offers STP DLT4. Johnson said the product was prepared based on the company’s survey of EV models that use DLT4.

In the vehicle care category, Laris Chandra offers products under the Tartawag brand, including Car Care, Polishing Compound, Waxing, Ceramic Coating, and Spray Coating.

The company also offers products under the Autogad brand, including Chamois. Other products include Purgo multi-purpose cleaner, glass-fungus remover or glass scrub, diesel fuel additive, and the newly launched Carbu Cleaner.

Targeting the Racing Community

For Preston Racing, Johnson said the product will be marketed through e-commerce and Laris Chandra’s official store starting in mid-October 2026.

The product comes in a roughly 2-liter size and is priced at more than Rp300,000 per bottle.

Preston Racing will target communities and workshops that specialize in racing vehicles.

“The market will definitely lead to communities and workshops that specifically focus on racing,” Johnson said.

According to Johnson, the market for specialized racing coolant is relatively small. Laris Chandra has studied and analyzed competitors in the segment, which he said number around two or three.

Meanwhile, for its overall coolant portfolio, Laris Chandra estimates that its one-year inventory forecast could reach around 500,000–800,000 liters. The figure covers various types of coolant, including products for EVs and hybrids as well as motorcycles, and does not specifically refer to Preston Racing.

Johnson said he had not yet received data on the amount of inventory specifically allocated to Preston Racing.
