ATHENS, Jakartaweekly.com—Maritime e-procurement platform Procureship has reached a milestone of serving 2,600 vessels worldwide over its 10 years of operation. Headquartered in Athens, Greece, the company continues to drive various innovations.

Grigoris Lamprou, Co-Founder and CEO of Procureship, stated that as part of its 10th-anniversary celebration, the company is actively expanding its product ecosystem. A range of new modules has been designed to meet the operational and compliance needs of the modern shipping industry.

In addition to core solutions such as Purchasing, E-Invoicing, and IHM Maintenance, the company has also developed modules for Freight Forwarding Optimisation, Tender & Contract Management, and ESG Vendor Management.

Furthermore, the company’s long-term investment in artificial intelligence (AI) development is starting to yield significant results.

“A number of AI-driven features on the platform, such as e-invoicing item matching and automatic unit-of-measurement conversion, are proven to help clients boost efficiency, save time, and cut operational costs,” Lamprou said in a press release on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

He noted that every expansion of the product ecosystem aligns with the company’s core mission: making the maritime procurement process faster, smarter, and more transparent.

According to him, the shipping industry has undergone a massive shift over the past decade—moving from merely questioning the importance of digitalization to exploring just how far digital transformation can be integrated into their business operations.

Meanwhile, Aris Manassakis, Co-Founder and COO of Procureship, emphasized that every innovation introduced by management is directly shaped by user feedback.

He added that Procureship remains dedicated to developing modules tailored to the specific needs of shipping companies, committing to adapt continuously to industry demands over the next decade.

Reflecting on its launch, Manassakis mentioned that Procureship initially set out to address procurement challenges in the maritime sector, which was widely seen as complex, inefficient, and prone to human error.

By leveraging automation, machine learning, and other digital technologies, the company built a data-driven platform that helps shipping companies fully optimize their procurement pipelines.

Today, the platform allows shipping firms to utilize a supplier recommendation system that integrates seamlessly with internal ERP systems to enhance operational efficiency.

A decade after its inception, the Procureship platform is now trusted by over 120 ship owners, operators, and managers, representing roughly 2,600 vessels across multiple countries. These include Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Monaco, Norway, Panama, the Philippines, Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago, the UAE, and the UK.

Additionally, more than 10,000 ship vendors are connected to the platform, creating a competitive digital marketplace that enables shipping companies to expand their supplier networks and business partnerships.

Beyond growing its user base, Procureship has expanded its physical footprint outside Greece by opening offices in Denmark and Singapore. The company currently employs over 50 professionals globally.
