JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com – Canva has launched the Canva Offline feature in Indonesia, allowing users to continue creating and editing designs without an internet connection.

Canva Indonesia Country Manager Stefani Herlie said users can continue working on designs offline, including editing projects, uploading image files from local devices, and synchronizing their work once an internet connection becomes available through the new feature.

According to her, the feature is highly relevant amid the growing trend of flexible working, mobile productivity, and hybrid collaboration in Indonesia. She added that the feature is designed to support various user needs, ranging from students creating presentations while traveling, small business owners preparing marketing materials, to teams working across multiple locations.

“Whether users are commuting, traveling, working remotely, or in situations with varying internet quality, Canva Offline helps them continue creating without disruption,” Stefani said in an official statement in Jakarta on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

She explained that Canva Offline is part of the development of Canva AI 2.0, which was first introduced at the Canva Create 2026 event. Through the update, Canva introduced various AI-powered creative and productivity tools to global users, including those in Indonesia.

According to Stefani, Canva AI 2.0 is a step toward strengthening the application’s position as an all-in-one platform that supports thinking, creating, collaborating, and publishing works within one integrated ecosystem.

She claimed that Canva now has more than a quarter of a billion monthly active users worldwide. Supported by the development of foundation models for design and its frontier AI lab, Canva AI 2.0 delivers an agentic AI experience that allows users to develop ideas, create content, and produce final outputs in a more integrated way.

In addition to introducing offline features, Canva AI 2.0 also brings a new architectural layer that is claimed to simplify the creative process. Users can create interactive digital experiences, compile structured data sheets, and generate personalized content at scale through the same platform.

She stated that the development is part of the company’s mission to make design and productivity more accessible to everyone.
