The Jakarta administration has officially launched a new Car-Free Day route along Rasuna Said in South Jakarta, offering residents an alternative space for exercise, community activities, and environmental awareness initiatives.
The Jakarta administration has temporarily suspended the Car Free Day program on HR Rasuna Said Street for further evaluation. The weekly event is scheduled to resume in June 2026 with improved traffic management and public facilities.
Governor Pramono Anung officially kicked off Jakarta's 499th Anniversary celebrations by unveiling the revitalization of the Rasuna Said corridor. Transforming the area into a "complete street" and a new urban icon, the Governor highlighted the removal of long-abandoned monorail pillars as a symbol of the city's shift toward a world-class global hub.
