Women Golf Society Celebrates Independence and Connection at Ladies Golf Gathering

JAKARTA—Jakartaweekly.com –  Women Golf Society (WGS) brought together women golf enthusiasts for a ladies golf gathering at Damai Indah Golf BSD on Sunday, August 16, as part of its ongoing efforts to build an active, supportive and inclusive golf community for women across different skill levels.

Held in the spirit of Indonesia’s Independence celebrations, the gathering offered more than an opportunity to play golf. It provided a relaxed setting for participants to meet new people, expand their networks and build meaningful connections through a shared passion for the sport.

With the theme of “Golf, Friendship, and Meaningful Connections,” WGS sees golf as more than a sporting activity. The community aims to position golf as a platform where women can develop confidence, connect with others and create a positive environment in which they can grow together.

“Women Golf Society was created as a comfortable and inclusive space for women to enjoy golf, meet new people, build connections and grow together. For us, golf is not simply a sport, but also a medium to build community, expand networks and create meaningful relationships,” said Windy Anindya Putri, Chairman of Women Golf Society.

Women Golf Society was founded by four members — Windy Anindya Putri, Miranti Salim, Erna Julia and Indri Adelia — with a vision to establish a supportive, inclusive and relevant golf community that reflects the evolving lifestyle of women today.

The August 16 gathering was designed to be relaxed, fun and welcoming, allowing participants to enjoy a golf session while networking with fellow members and guests. The event also featured a driving competition to determine the longest ball distance, adding a friendly competitive element to the gathering.

The event was supported by a number of partners, including Mufti Clinic, Aska Living, Redhill, Damai Indah Golf, Viewtic, Prive Club, Oneight Dental Care, Pojok Segar, Nagomi Cafe, Sweet Potato and Ayuk Tata Empek-Empek.

Collaboration with brands, media and other communities is an important part of WGS’ development. The organization plans to continue working with companies, communities and organizations that share its vision of creating positive activities and meaningful experiences for women.

Through future golf gatherings, social events, networking sessions and lifestyle activities, WGS aims to provide more opportunities for women to connect beyond the golf course while strengthening its growing community.

Building an Inclusive Golf Community

For WGS, inclusivity is central to its approach. The community welcomes women across different levels of golfing ability, including beginners who are looking for a supportive environment to start or develop their interest in the sport.

By combining golf with lifestyle and networking, WGS hopes to make the sport more accessible while creating opportunities for members to learn from one another, build confidence and establish new personal and professional connections.

As the community continues to grow, Women Golf Society is positioning itself not only as a golf community, but also as a platform where women can play, connect and grow together.
