JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com – PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operation Area 1 Jakarta is operating 17 additional train services to meet public demand during the Easter long weekend from April 2 to April 6, 2026.
KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager Franoto Wibowo said the additional train services are intended to strengthen regular operations while providing more travel options in terms of schedules and routes.
“With the support of 68 regular trains and 17 additional services, seating capacity remains relatively ample, particularly from April 3 to April 6, 2026,” Franoto said in a press release on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
He added that of the 17 additional services, 11 depart from Gambir Station in Jakarta, while the remaining 6 depart from Pasar Senen Station.
With these additional services, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta is operating a total of 85 train trips, providing 226.225 seats, or an average of 46.003 seats per day.
He further noted that more than 126.000 tickets have been sold for the period so far.
On Thursday, April 2, 2026, passenger volumes for departures and arrivals in the Daop 1 Jakarta area were relatively balanced, with 35.918 departing passengers and 35.886 arrivals.
For departures, Pasar Senen Station recorded the highest volume at 15.171 passengers, followed by Gambir Station with 12.173 passengers and Bekasi Station with 4.095 passengers.
Meanwhile, for arrivals, the highest volume was recorded at Pasar Senen Station with 15.641 passengers, followed by Gambir Station with 7.374 passengers and Bekasi Station with 5.498 passengers.
