JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com—PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) is set to introduce a range of new vehicle models at the 2026 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), including SUVs and MPVs powered by electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) technologies.

During the exhibition, which will take place from July 29 to August 9, 2026, at Hall 2C of the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Hyundai will also showcase its most comprehensive vehicle lineup, featuring internal combustion engine (ICE), HEV, and EV powertrains.

President Director of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia, Kenny Lee, said GIIAS 2026 will serve as a key platform for the company to expand mobility options for Indonesian consumers.

“GIIAS 2026 is an opportunity for us to demonstrate that commitment by presenting our most exciting EV lineup to date, alongside the launch of new models that will further expand the choices available to Indonesian consumers,” Lee said in Jakarta on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

He added that Hyundai will launch a new EV SUV, a new MPV available in both EV and HEV variants, and a new HEV SUV. The company will also present a special display of its locally produced 7-seater EV Prototype on July 29–30, 2026, as well as the IONIQ 3.

At the same event, PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia Chief Operating Officer Fransiscus Soerjopranoto said the company aims to meet diverse consumer needs by offering ICE, HEV, and EV models simultaneously.

“We want consumers to be able to choose vehicles that truly suit their needs. This is also part of our concrete commitment, including producing EVs locally, so that the innovations we introduce can help drive the growth of Indonesia’s automotive industry,” he said.

In addition to introducing new models, Hyundai is offering a range of promotional programs throughout July 2026, including consumer benefits of up to Rp50 million for purchases of the STARGAZER Cartenz and STARGAZER Cartenz X.

The promotion is part of Hyundai’s celebration as the title partner of the 2026 ASEAN Cup, now rebranded as the Hyundai Cup 2026.

At GIIAS, Hyundai will also host various football-themed activities, including the Hyundai Cup Corner featuring the tournament’s official trophy, as well as limited-edition gifts for customers who take a test drive or purchase a STARGAZER.

Hyundai is also introducing its “Deal Terbaik Pasti Bisa” (“Best Deal, Guaranteed”) program, which includes installment plans starting from Rp3 million per month for three years, a one-year payment holiday, and trade-in benefits of up to Rp20 million for customers purchasing a new Hyundai vehicle.
