JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com Defender has introduced a series of updates across its 4×4 SUV lineup, including the new Defender Vertex variant, the Extended Exterior Pack, new colour and accessory options, and a six-seat configuration for the Defender 110.

Defender Brand Director Mark Cameron said the updates are intended to expand personalisation options without altering the rugged character and off-road capability that define the brand.

“The latest updates to Defender bring a refreshed design while giving our customers more opportunities for personalisation, without compromising the durability or off-road capability that define Defender,” Cameron said in Jakarta on Friday, August 21, 2026.

He said the introduction of the Defender Vertex and Extended Exterior Pack brings new character to the lineup and is expected to broaden Defender’s appeal among both existing and new customers.

According to Cameron, the Defender Vertex is a new variant that builds on the Defender X specification. It features exterior updates including new front and rear bumpers, a larger grille, and fog lamps finished in Shadow Atlas Matte.

Its appearance is further enhanced by a Gloss Black rear spoiler, yellow front brake calipers, and colour-matched rear recovery eyes. The lower body also features cladding matched to the vehicle’s exterior colour.

As standard, the Defender Vertex is fitted with 22-inch Diamond Turned wheels with a Satin Dark Grey finish and Carpathian Grey accents. Optional 22-inch Gloss Black and 20-inch Satin Dark Grey wheels are also available.

Cameron said the colour palette includes Fuji White, Santorini Black, Woolstone Green, Borasco Grey, Carpathian Grey, and Patagonia White Matte Wrap.

Inside, customers can choose from Windsor Leather, Forged Textile, or Ultrafabrics. One of the new materials, Ebony Forged Textile, uses a polyester-based knitted fabric designed to improve durability.

The Defender Vertex also comes with Three-Zone Climate Control, Cabin Air Purification Plus, an Air Quality Sensor, and a domestic power socket on the Defender 90 and Defender 110. The Defender 130, meanwhile, is equipped with Four-Zone Climate Control.

Extended Exterior Pack and Trophy Edition

In addition to the Vertex variant, Defender has introduced the Extended Exterior Pack, available for the Defender X-Dynamic SE, X-Dynamic HSE, and V8.

The package includes front and rear bumpers finished in Shadow Atlas Matte, a rear spoiler, and a spare wheel cover matched to the body colour. Four wheel options are also available, ranging from 20 to 22 inches.

Updates have also been made to the Defender 110 Trophy Edition. The model, which was reintroduced in 2025, is now available in Santorini Black alongside the previously offered Deep Sandglow Yellow.

Cameron said the Trophy Edition retains a range of equipment designed for adventure, including an Expedition Roof Rack, Deployable Roof Ladder, and Raised Air Intake.

The model also features 20-inch Gloss Black steel-style wheels, black brake calipers, Sandglow Yellow accents in the vehicle graphics, and Trophy Edition-specific interior trim.

Updates for the Defender OCTA

Defender has also updated the high-performance Defender OCTA. The SUV retains its Twin Turbo Mild-Hybrid V8 engine, 6D Dynamics suspension system, and OCTA Mode.

For the UK, European, and selected other markets, Defender has refined the exhaust system, which it says delivers a deeper V8 engine note.

The Defender OCTA is now available in Woolstone Green. Both the OCTA and OCTA Black also come with a Gloss Black rear spoiler as standard.

New Colours and a Six-Seat Configuration

As part of the lineup update, Defender has introduced Namib Orange, available on the Defender 90 and Defender 110 in S, X-Dynamic SE, X-Dynamic HSE, and X specifications.

Overall, Defender now offers up to 15 exterior colour options. The company has also introduced a Gloss Protective Film with self-healing technology to help protect the bodywork from minor scratches and everyday scuffs.

Meanwhile, the Defender 110 is now available with a six-seat 2+2+2 configuration. The second row features two individual Captain Chairs with armrests, reclining backrests, and easier access to the third row.

New Accessories

Defender has also expanded its range of factory-fit accessories, including the Expedition Roof Light, Tail Door Gear Carrier, and Tail Door Spoiler.

The Expedition Roof Light delivers up to 9,000 lumens and is claimed to illuminate areas up to 350 metres away when used together with the vehicle’s main headlights.

Meanwhile, the Tail Door Gear Carrier provides up to 60 litres of additional storage space and has a maximum load capacity of 12 kilograms.

Defender also offers several accessory packs tailored to different uses, including the Explorer Pack for more demanding terrain, the Adventure Pack for outdoor activities, and the Urban Pack for urban driving.
