Geely Launches Coolray at GIIAS 2026, Prices Start at Rp333 Million

TANGERANG, Jakartaweekly.com—Geely Auto Indonesia has officially launched the Geely Coolray at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. The compact internal combustion engine (ICE) SUV is priced from Rp333 million.

Constantinus Herlijoso, Sales and Channel Development Director of Geely Auto Indonesia, said the company has set the on-the-road Jakarta price at Rp333 million for the Standard variant and Rp337 million for the Flagship variant.

“As one of Geely’s global SUVs trusted by more than 1.35 million users across various countries, the Coolray is here to expand vehicle choices for Indonesian consumers,” he said in Tangerang recently.

He said the compact SUV combines turbocharged performance, dynamic styling, modern technology, and comprehensive safety features to support everyday driving.

According to Herlijoso, the internal combustion engine vehicle segment continues to offer significant growth potential in Indonesia, as around 75% of domestic consumers still prefer ICE-powered vehicles.

“This aligns with Geely’s extensive experience in developing globally proven ICE vehicles. The Geely Coolray is designed for customers seeking an SUV with responsive performance and a timeless yet sporty design,” he said.

He added that the vehicle was engineered to deliver a dynamic driving experience without compromising comfort across various road conditions.

The Geely Coolray is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a 7-Speed Wet Dual-Clutch Transmission (7DCT), producing up to 174 PS and 290 Nm of maximum torque.

The SUV also offers four driving modes—Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Adaptive—allowing drivers to tailor the vehicle’s characteristics to road conditions and personal preferences.

The Geely Coolray is available in Standard and Flagship variants. The Flagship model features a two-tone exterior, rear spoiler, 18-inch alloy wheels, and red brake calipers, reinforcing its sporty appearance.

Customers can choose from five exterior colors: Athens White, Silk Satin Silver, Magnetic Grey, and two exclusive finishes, Aquila Teal and Blazing Crimson.

For the interior, the Flagship variant is available in either an All Black or Black & Burnt Red color scheme, while the Standard variant comes with an All Black interior.

Inside the cabin, the Geely Coolray adopts a modern layout inspired by Geely’s electric vehicle lineup. A column-type gear shifter frees up additional center console space and is complemented by a 14.6-inch HD touchscreen, an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and connectivity features designed to support a digital lifestyle.

The SUV is also equipped with wireless charging, a premium audio system, 72-color ambient lighting, semi-bucket seats, a translucent front sun visor, and a panoramic sunroof.

According to Herlijoso, these features are designed to provide maximum comfort for both the driver and passengers. Beyond performance and design, the Geely Coolray also emphasizes safety through a combination of active and passive technologies to enhance driver confidence on every journey.

The Geely Coolray comes equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), a 540-degree Panoramic View Camera, six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and ISOFIX child-seat anchors.

He said these safety features are supported by a rigid body structure to provide optimal protection for both the driver and passengers under various driving conditions.
