JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com — PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has officially announced the price of the Honda Prelude at Rp974,900,000, ahead of customer deliveries scheduled to roll out in stages starting in late May 2026. The model has recorded total orders of 280 units.
HPM President Director Masanao Kataoka said consumer enthusiasm for the Prelude has exceeded the company’s expectations, surpassing the initial allocation.
“The strong reception for the Honda Prelude reflects that Honda’s future product development direction remains aligned with consumer needs,” he said in a statement on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
He noted that management initially allocated 100 units during the first phase of the order period, which were sold out within three days. In response to robust demand, the company decided to increase the quota to 150 units for 2026.
Orders for the Honda Prelude, he added, are not limited to major cities on Java Island, but also come from regions including Palembang, Lampung, Bali, Lombok, Banjarmasin, and Makassar.
He further stated that the Honda Prelude represents Honda’s electrification approach, which focuses not only on efficiency but also on preserving driving performance and character.
Management, he said, will continue to develop electrified products that balance performance, driving experience, and efficiency, in line with evolving market demand in Indonesia.
The Prelude’s arrival in Indonesia also marks the return of one of Honda’s iconic models, now equipped with hybrid technology. The model forms part of Honda’s broader electrification strategy, which is being rolled out progressively in the domestic market.
