Hyundai IONIQ 9 Launches in Indonesia, Premium Electric SUV Priced at Rp1.49 Billion

JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com—PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) has officially introduced the Hyundai IONIQ 9 at the 2026 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The electric SUV is now available for pre-booking at a special introductory price of Rp1.49 billion throughout the exhibition.

The arrival of the IONIQ 9 expands Hyundai’s electric vehicle lineup in Indonesia while offering a new option in the premium electric SUV segment.

“The IONIQ 9 arrives on Indonesian roads as Hyundai’s premium electric SUV, setting a new benchmark for electric mobility through the combination of cutting-edge EV technology, a spacious cabin, premium comfort, and outstanding performance,” Hyundai said in an official statement on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026.

Up to 734 km Driving Range

The IONIQ 9 is powered by a 110.3 kWh battery paired with an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system. The electric SUV delivers up to 427.7 PS of power and 700 Nm of maximum torque.

With these specifications, Hyundai claims the IONIQ 9 can travel up to 734 kilometers on a single charge based on the NEDC testing standard. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.

To support long-distance travel, Hyundai has equipped the IONIQ 9 with an 800-volt electrical architecture, enabling DC fast charging of up to 350 kW. Under optimal conditions, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 24 minutes.

Three-Row Cabin and Premium Features

As a premium electric SUV, the IONIQ 9 features a spacious three-row seating configuration, providing enhanced comfort for all occupants.

Hyundai has also equipped the vehicle with power-adjustable second-row seats and Digital Side Mirrors—camera-based mirror technology making its debut in Hyundai’s passenger vehicle lineup in Indonesia to improve driver visibility.

The exterior adopts the IONIQ family’s signature futuristic design language, complemented by a range of advanced technologies to enhance the overall driving experience.

Hyundai IONIQ 9 Price at GIIAS 2026

Throughout GIIAS 2026, which runs until Aug. 9 at ICE BSD City in Tangerang, Hyundai is accepting pre-bookings for the IONIQ 9 at a special introductory price of Rp1,490,000,000.

In addition to unveiling the IONIQ 9, Hyundai is offering a range of promotional programs during GIIAS 2026, including special pricing for the Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz starting from Rp241 million, down payments from 7%, monthly installments starting at Rp2 million, as well as various ownership benefits such as complimentary Bluelink services and five years of scheduled maintenance, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
