Jakartaweekly.com — The Indonesia International Motor Show 2026 (IIMS 2026) recorded strong results, generating Rp9.5 trillion (about $600 million) in total transactions, surpassing its initial target of Rp8 trillion, according to organizer Dyandra Promosindo.
The annual automotive exhibition took place from February 5–15, 2026 at JIExpo Kemayoran in Jakarta and attracted more than 580,000 visitors over the 11-day event.
Daswar Marpaung, President Director of Dyandra Promosindo, said the results highlight the strong appeal of the automotive industry among Indonesian consumers.
“The positive performance of IIMS 2026 shows that the automotive industry continues to have a strong magnet for the public and can become additional momentum for growth in 2026,” he said during a media gathering.
According to Dyandra Promosindo, four-wheel vehicles accounted for 97.52 percent of total transactions, while the remainder came from motorcycles, aftermarket products, sponsors, and other exhibition tenants.
Compared with the previous year, vehicle sales at the event showed notable growth, with car sales increasing by 15.91 percent and motorcycle sales jumping 67.9 percent, signaling a positive outlook for Indonesia’s automotive sector.
Rudi MF, Project Manager of IIMS 2026, said the exhibition’s success was supported by a wide range of programs designed to blend automotive culture with entertainment and lifestyle experiences.
“IIMS is no longer just an automotive exhibition but has evolved into a lifestyle platform that combines entertainment, community activities, sports, and education in one ecosystem,” he said.
Visitor satisfaction also reached 95 percent, with popular attractions including test drive sessions, test ride experiences, the IIMS x IDS drift program, Infinite Show, and Infinite Live concerts.
The event featured numerous activities across the 156,000-square-meter venue, including automotive competitions, community gatherings, motorsport showcases, and music performances by leading Indonesian artists such as Iwan Fals, Raisa, Tulus, Hindia, and Sheila On 7.
Following its success in Jakarta, Dyandra Promosindo plans to expand the IIMS Series 2026 to other major cities across Indonesia. The next event, IIMS Surabaya 2026, will take place May 26–31, 2026 at Grand City Hall Surabaya, introducing the “IIMS Sportainment” concept that combines automotive exhibitions with lifestyle activities such as running, padel, and mini soccer.
The series will continue with IIMS Balikpapan 2026 from October 21–25 at BSCC Dome Balikpapan, before concluding with IIMS Garage Manado 2026 from November 4–8 at Manado Town Square.
Through these events, organizers hope to further strengthen Indonesia’s automotive ecosystem and expand market engagement across the country, from western to eastern regions.
