IIPE 2026 Turns 10, Bringing Indonesia’s Pet World Together

TANGERANG — Jakartaweekly.com. From pet food and grooming products to animal healthcare, competitions and community gatherings, Indonesia International Pet Expo (IIPE) 2026 is bringing together a growing world of pet lovers and businesses as the exhibition celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Held from September 4–6 at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang, the 10th edition of IIPE features 295 local and international exhibitors, making this year’s event one of its biggest gatherings as the exhibition enters its second decade.

This year, IIPE takes on the theme “Unleash the Energy,” reflecting a more active and dynamic approach to an industry that has increasingly become part of Indonesia’s consumer, lifestyle and business landscape.

Over the past decade, IIPE has evolved beyond a traditional trade exhibition. Its halls now bring together pet food brands, healthcare providers, accessory makers, technology companies, distributors, entrepreneurs, communities and thousands of animal lovers, creating a space where business and pet culture intersect.

The event’s 2026 opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the government and industry, including the Vice Regent of Tangerang Regency, the Directorate of Animal Health, the Directorate General of Strengthening the Competitiveness of Marine and Fisheries Products, the Head of the Banten Provincial Agriculture Office, and the Indonesian Exhibition Companies Association (ASPERAPI).

For PT Temali Indonesia, which organizes IIPE, the 10th anniversary represents an important turning point.

“The first 10 years were about building the foundation. But the next 10 years must be about building the future,” said Didit Siswodwiatmoko, Founder & Director of PT Temali Indonesia.

Didit said the ambition is for Indonesia’s pet industry to become increasingly professional, innovative, responsible and internationally competitive, while developing a stronger commitment to animal welfare.

The growing number of exhibitors is one indication of how the ecosystem has expanded.

“295 exhibitors today show that this industry continues to grow. And we, Temali Indonesia, want to continue to be part of that growth,” he said.

Where Business Meets Pet Culture

Walking through IIPE 2026, visitors encounter an industry that is becoming increasingly diverse.

Pet food and accessories sit alongside healthcare products, grooming services and technology, while brands use the exhibition to introduce new products, offer special promotions and meet consumers face-to-face.

But the exhibition is also increasingly about the people behind the industry.

Communities from across Indonesia are taking part in gatherings, competitions, workshops and educational sessions, creating opportunities for pet owners to exchange experiences while connecting with brands and industry professionals.

Among the new attractions this year is the Indoor Zoo in Hall 9, which offers visitors an educational and interactive opportunity to learn more about different animals.

The exhibition also gives different communities their own dedicated spaces.

At Dog Station in Hall 6, dog lovers can join activities ranging from a Dog Community Gathering to the Alex Vonwater Dog Demonstration.

Cat enthusiasts, meanwhile, can head to Cat Station in Hall 10, where programs include cat grooming workshops, the International Cat Grooming Certification & Competition, and the Feline Fanciers’ Federation International Cat Show.

The result is an exhibition that feels less like a conventional marketplace and more like a meeting point for an entire pet culture.

A Weekend Built Around Pets

The experience continues beyond the exhibition halls.

On Saturday, September 5, dog owners and communities will gather early in the morning for the return of Dog Fun Walk by PCI, starting at 6 a.m.

The activity offers a more relaxed community experience, giving owners the opportunity to spend time outdoors with their pets while connecting with fellow dog lovers.

Together, these activities reflect how IIPE has grown over the past decade. What began as an exhibition has developed into a platform connecting businesses, communities and consumers around a shared interest in animals.

That evolution also points to the broader direction of Indonesia’s pet industry, where animal ownership is increasingly accompanied by demand for better products, services, education and responsible care.

As IIPE marks its 10th year, the focus is therefore not only on how far the exhibition has come, but on where it can go next.

For Temali Indonesia, the next decade is expected to be about building a more professional and internationally competitive industry—while ensuring that growth is accompanied by greater awareness of responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.

For visitors walking through ICE BSD this weekend, however, the message is simpler: there is a lot more to the world of pets than food and toys.

There are communities to discover, businesses to meet, animals to learn about and, perhaps, a new appreciation for the increasingly important role pets play in everyday life.

And after 10 years, IIPE is ready to unleash the next chapter
