TANGERANG — Jakartaweekly.com. PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Fuso commercial vehicles in Indonesia, officially opened its booth at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 by unveiling a new commercial vehicle while reaffirming its commitment to strengthening after-sales services as the company’s key competitive advantage.
Held at Hall 1, Booth 1A of ICE BSD City, Mitsubishi Fuso is participating in this year’s exhibition under the theme “Zero Down Time,” highlighting its strategy of delivering not only reliable commercial vehicles but also a comprehensive support ecosystem that helps customers maximize fleet productivity and minimize operational disruptions.
Having maintained its position as Indonesia’s commercial vehicle market leader for more than 56 years with a 47.7 percent market share and an operational population of more than 1.4 million vehicles, Mitsubishi Fuso believes the expectations of commercial vehicle customers have changed significantly.
President Director of PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors, Daisuke Okamoto, said purchasing decisions today extend well beyond vehicle specifications such as payload capacity, engine performance, and durability.
“Ten years ago, customers primarily looked for trucks with strong specifications, reliable performance, and proven durability. Today, they also consider total cost of ownership and seek integrated business solutions that support long-term operations,” Okamoto said during the company’s opening ceremony.
He added that rapid advances in digital technology and artificial intelligence are creating new opportunities for smarter fleet management, prompting Mitsubishi Fuso to evolve its products and services alongside changing customer needs.
As part of that strategy, Mitsubishi Fuso officially introduced the Canter FE 84G BCL, marketed as the Canter Extra Long Bus, a new chassis specifically developed for Indonesia’s growing tourism, intercity transportation, and passenger travel sectors.
Designed with a longer chassis, the new model allows body builders to maximize cabin space and passenger capacity while maintaining maneuverability through a tighter turning radius. The vehicle is also equipped with long tapered leaf spring suspension to improve passenger comfort, while its 136-horsepower engine and optimized gear ratio deliver reliable performance across various road conditions.
Sales and Marketing Director Aji Jaya said the new model demonstrates Mitsubishi Fuso’s philosophy of providing purpose-built commercial vehicles that meet the specific operational requirements of different industries.
“The Canter Extra Long Bus combines durability, comfort, and efficiency while offering greater passenger capacity. It was developed specifically to answer the evolving needs of transportation operators,” he said.
Alongside the new bus chassis, Mitsubishi Fuso is also displaying the eCanter electric truck, the Canter FE 84G for urban logistics, the Fighter X FM65F Tractor Head for heavy-duty freight transportation, and the Fighter X FN61 FSL Logistic Package, reflecting the company’s broader portfolio serving Indonesia’s logistics, industrial, and transportation sectors.
However, Mitsubishi Fuso emphasized that after-sales service remains the company’s strongest differentiator as commercial vehicle operators increasingly prioritize fleet availability over vehicle specifications alone.
To support its Zero Down Time commitment, the company announced several enhancements to its nationwide after-sales network throughout 2026.
One of the key initiatives is the transformation of its 24-Hour Standby Workshops into 24-Hour Non-Stop Workshops, reinforcing Mitsubishi Fuso’s commitment to providing uninterrupted maintenance and repair services. The company currently operates 19 of these facilities along Indonesia’s major logistics corridors, allowing fleet operators to service vehicles at any time without disrupting daytime business activities.
Mitsubishi Fuso is also expanding its dedicated Fuso Service Centers, strategically located near mining and plantation sites so customers can perform maintenance and repairs closer to their operations, significantly reducing downtime caused by long-distance servicing.
To further lower customers’ operating costs, the company continues expanding its Suku Cadang Tiga Berlian (SCTB) lineup, offering high-quality alternative spare parts that provide a more economical maintenance option without compromising reliability.
The company’s after-sales ecosystem is supported by one of Indonesia’s largest commercial vehicle service networks, comprising 223 authorized dealerships across 170 cities and regencies, 22 parts depots, nearly 7,900 authorized parts outlets, as well as dedicated service points and fleet workshops located directly at customer operational sites.
This nationwide network complements Mitsubishi Fuso’s domestic manufacturing ecosystem, which is supported by PT Krama Yudha Ratu Motor, PT Mitsubishi Krama Yudha Motors and Manufacturing, and 127 local component suppliers.
“We don’t simply sell commercial vehicles,” Aji Jaya said. “We provide customers with the confidence that their businesses can continue operating without interruption. Through Indonesia’s most extensive after-sales network, Mitsubishi Fuso remains a trusted partner throughout every stage of our customers’ business journey.”
Mitsubishi Fuso’s participation at GIIAS 2026 reflects the company’s continued strategy of combining reliable products with comprehensive service solutions as Indonesia’s commercial transportation industry increasingly focuses on efficiency, operational continuity, and lower total ownership costs.
