Perum Perumnas, through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, has once again demonstrated its commitment to the community by distributing aid to flood victims in the city of Bekasi. The disaster, which occurred in the middle of the holy month of Ramadan, affected thousands of residents in eight sub-districts of Bekasi, requiring swift and tangible action from various parties.
As a form of concern, Perumnas, along with its management and employees who volunteered, went directly to the affected locations to distribute aid periodically since March 4, 2025. This included ready-to-eat meal packages, clean water, basic food supplies, as well as necessities for toddlers and pregnant women.
Additionally, Perumnas provided cleaning and hygiene supplies to maintain the condition of the affected environment and the health of the flood victims. Not only providing material assistance, but Perumnas also deployed 16 volunteers tasked with assisting in the evacuation of residents and the cleanup of flood-affected areas in Jatiasih, South Bekasi, West Bekasi, North Bekasi, East Bekasi, Rawalumbu, Pondokgede, and Gabus Kab Bekasi.
In an effort to distribute aid effectively and equitably, Perumnas collaborated with the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) Task Force, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), and BKDI. Aid was also sent to the BNPB Command Post to expand the distribution reach for affected communities in need.
This action is a tangible manifestation of the company’s social responsibility to communities facing difficult situations such as floods. Perumnas hopes that this aid can benefit the flood victims, help them recover from the impact of the disaster, and alleviate the condition of affected communities so they can return to normal activities.
Through this humanitarian action, Perumnas ensures that in the midst of disaster, the state is present to provide protection and comfort to the community, especially coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan.
