Rakuten Viki Opens Free Access to Phantom Lawyer Through Final Episode

JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com — Streaming platform Rakuten Viki has officially opened free access to the drama Phantom Lawyer. As of April 24, 2026, all episodes are available to watch for free without ads and without a subscription, including episodes 15 and 16 (the finale), which are set to air this Friday and Saturday.

Rakuten Viki Chief Content Officer Jaehee Hong said the decision to make Phantom Lawyer free was driven by the company’s intention to allow more viewers to experience the series from beginning to end.

“The main strength of Phantom Lawyer lies in its blend of unique legal cases and deeply emotional storytelling. As the story unfolds, viewers will feel how that balance becomes increasingly meaningful,” she said in a press release on Thursday, April 30, 2026.

She added that since its premiere in March, the fantasy legal drama quickly entered the list of most favored shows within a week. The series has earned a rating of 9.6 out of 10.

The drama stars Yoo Yeon-seok and Esom, and follows a character named Shin Yi-rang, a shy lawyer who gains the ability to communicate with spirits after moving into an office previously owned by a shaman. He handles legal cases involving the “unfinished business” of the deceased.

On the same occasion, Yoo Yeon-seok expressed his enthusiasm in seeing audiences follow the resolution of each case.

“There is a certain satisfaction in seeing the spirits find peace, and watching Yi Rang grow through each case he resolves,” he said.

He added that Phantom Lawyer is not merely a story about ghosts or courtroom battles. While viewers may initially be drawn in by its comedic elements, they stay for the deeper reflections on life and death presented throughout the series.
