JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com — Technology company TransTRACK has entered into a strategic partnership with PT Kawasan Industri Medan (Persero) to develop a Smart Industrial Estate ecosystem.

The collaboration aims to improve operational efficiency, transportation and logistics safety, while accelerating KIM’s digital transformation into a more integrated and sustainable industrial estate.

TransTRACK Founder and CEO Anggia Meisesari said digitalization has become essential for industrial estates seeking to enhance their competitiveness amid the evolving global supply chain.

“Digitalization is no longer an option, but a necessity for industrial estates to improve efficiency, safety, and competitiveness,” she said in Jakarta recently.

Through the partnership with KIM, she said, TransTRACK is positioning itself not only as a technology provider but also as a strategic partner in building a digital business ecosystem capable of optimizing assets, creating value-added services, and generating new revenue streams for industrial estate operators.

According to Meisesari, the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) can serve as the foundation for developing industrial estates that are more productive, integrated, and sustainable. She expressed hope that the collaboration model could be replicated in other industrial estates across Indonesia.

As part of the agreement, TransTRACK will develop a range of digital solutions, including Smart Transportation, Smart Logistics, AI Safety, Asset Management, Visitor Management, Smart Parking, Carbon Emission Monitoring, ESG Reporting, and a Digital Command Center.

She added that the initiatives will be implemented in phases based on the needs of KIM and its industrial estate tenants.

Speaking on the same occasion, PT Kawasan Industri Medan (Persero) Director Daly Mulyana said digitalization is a key factor in improving service quality, operational efficiency, and investment attractiveness within industrial estates.

“The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between KIM and TransTRACK,” he said.

The partnership, he added, is designed not only to improve operational efficiency and enhance transportation and logistics safety, but also to create new business models through asset optimization, service digitalization, and the utilization of AI and IoT technologies.

Mulyana said the collaboration is expected to deliver added value for tenants while strengthening KIM’s position as a modern industrial estate capable of competing at both the national and regional levels.

KIM is one of the largest industrial estates in Sumatra, serving as a hub for manufacturing and logistics activities across various sectors.

The integrated deployment of digital technologies is expected to enhance estate management while providing more efficient and reliable services for tenants and other stakeholders.

Throughout the partnership, both companies will conduct regular monitoring and evaluations to ensure that each initiative is implemented effectively and remains aligned with the industrial estate’s development needs.

The partnership also forms part of TransTRACK’s broader strategy to expand the implementation of AI and IoT technologies across Indonesia’s strategic sectors, supporting industrial transformation toward a transportation and logistics ecosystem that is more efficient, safer, integrated, and sustainable.
