Tekiro and ITS Surabaya Provide Free Service for 300 Vehicles, Train 160 Automotive Students

SURABAYA, Jakartaweekly.com—PT Altama Surya Anugerah, through its automotive tool brand Tekiro, has partnered with the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya in a community service program and student competency development initiative in the automotive sector.

The collaboration, which has been running since May 2026, is realized through free vehicle service activities and automotive technical training for students.

Tekiro Brand Marketing Manager Novitasari said that collaboration with higher education institutions is a long-term investment to produce human resources ready to enter the workforce.

“We want to ensure that the theory learned in the classroom is aligned with real conditions in the field. Through free service activities, we help the community, and through training, we help students become job-ready technicians,” she said in Surabaya, Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

She explained that the free service program held at Lapangan Ole-ole Ngagel, Surabaya, received a strong response from the public. A total of 275 motorcycles and 25 cars received light service handled by student mechanics from the Machine Student Workshop Association (LBMM) of ITS.

She noted that the services provided included spark plug replacement, engine oil changes, and gear oil replacement. All servicing processes were carried out using standardized tools, ranging from engine component cleaning with Rexco Lubricant maintenance fluid to component adjustment using Tekiro tools.

In addition to serving the public, the Tekiro and ITS collaboration also focuses on improving the competencies of young talents through automotive training attended by 160 students in Surabaya.

The program is also aimed at students with a strong interest in mechanical engineering and automotive fields.

The training is designed to introduce the automotive engineering world from both academic and professional perspectives. Through a hands-on approach, participants are given the opportunity to integrate theoretical knowledge learned in lectures with practical vehicle maintenance skills.

LBMM ITS Chairman Muhammad Fathan Firjatullah said that service quality is determined not only by technician skills but also by the equipment used.

“Tekiro has always been the tools we choose to support our team in carrying out service processes more neatly, quickly, and effectively in this free service event. Tekiro tools also support daily service activities at the ITS Machine Student Workshop Association, greatly assisting our workshop’s operational needs,” he said.

According to him, the activity is not only a platform for knowledge sharing but also encourages the public to pay more attention to regular vehicle maintenance.

With routine maintenance, he added, vehicles can be used more safely and have a longer service life.
