JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com—Antam gold prices today, Sunday, August 2, 2026, were set at Rp2,603,000 per gram, based on the latest data from Antam Precious Metals’ official website, which is updated daily at 8:30 a.m. WIB.
Today’s Antam gold price showed a slight decline compared with the previous Sunday. Last Sunday, Antam gold was priced at Rp2,612,000 per gram.
PT Traze Andalan Futures Director Ibrahim Assuaibi projects that precious metal prices will trade with support at Rp2,410,000 per gram and resistance at Rp2,720,000 per gram. In the short term, however, gold is expected to move within a narrower range, with support at Rp2,580,000 per gram and resistance at Rp2,623,000 per gram.
Meanwhile, spot gold (XAU/USD) is forecast to trade between US$3,836 per troy ounce and US$4,290 per troy ounce over the coming week. In the near term, prices are expected to find support at US$3,990 per troy ounce and resistance at US$4,132 per troy ounce.
According to Ibrahim, gold price movements continue to be driven by escalating geopolitical tensions involving the United States and Israel against Iran, Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthi movement, as well as rising tensions in Eastern Europe following Ukraine’s attack on a Russian arms shipment bound for Iran.
From the U.S. political perspective, markets are also awaiting whether Congress will approve the proposed war budget to finance U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure. Under these conditions, Ibrahim expects the Federal Reserve (Fed) to raise interest rates.
On the supply and demand side, the World Gold Council reported that cumulative global gold demand increased 2% to 2,522 tonnes, with the total transaction value reaching US$380 billion.
“This suggests that despite rising crude oil prices and declining global gold prices, central banks are likely to take advantage of the lower prices by resuming purchases of precious metals,” Ibrahim said.
The smallest denomination, the 0.5-gram gold bar, is priced at Rp1,351,500. Meanwhile, the 5-gram bar is sold for Rp12,790,000, while the 10-gram bar is priced at Rp25,525,000.
For investors looking to purchase larger quantities, the 100-gram gold bar is available for Rp254,512,000, while the 1-kilogram bar is priced at Rp2,543,600,000.
In addition to its regular gold bullion products, Antam also offers several special-edition collections featuring exclusive designs and packaging. The Gift Series is priced at Rp1,421,500 for the 0.5-gram bar and Rp2,753,000 for the 1-gram bar.
