JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com — The Jakarta International Baby Products & Toys Expo and Indonesia Stationery Expo (IBTE) 2026 is returning this August, gearing up to transform JIExpo Kemayoran into a massive hub for the global toys and maternity industries.
Running from August 19 to 22 at Halls B and C, the highly anticipated event connects manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and brand owners from across the globe, opening up lucrative business avenues in Indonesia and the wider Southeast Asian market.
As one of the country’s largest exhibitions in the sector, IBTE 2026 is going all out. The event will span 20,000 square meters, hosting over 500 global companies across more than 1,000 booths. Organizers expect to draw upwards of 40,000 international professional buyers who will get a first look at 100,000+ new products.
The exhibition floor will be split into five main categories: Trendy Toys, Toys, Baby Products, Stationery, and IP Licensing. Visitors can expect to see a wide array of products reflecting today’s fast-moving consumer trends—from blind boxes, collectible cards, and building blocks to AI-integrated plushies, stress-relief toys, educational gear, and maternity care essentials.
Pop Culture and Direct Sourcing
The Trendy Toys category is set to be a major crowd-puller this year. Official licensees will be rolling out merchandise featuring global pop-culture giants like Crayon Shin-chan, Pokémon, Naruto, My Little Pony, and Transformers. Additionally, several exhibitors will be launching their own original intellectual properties (IPs), offering fresh collaborative opportunities for the international market.
For business buyers, IBTE 2026 serves as a crucial sourcing platform. A significant portion of the exhibitors are direct “source factories” equipped with comprehensive supply chain capabilities—covering everything from product design and molding to mass production and OEM/ODM services. This setup provides local distributors and brands the flexibility to develop exclusive products with competitive quality and large-scale volume capacity.
According to the organizers, Indonesia remains one of the most promising growth markets for the industry. A massive youth population, rising purchasing power, and a rapidly expanding retail and e-commerce landscape make the country a strategic entry point for international companies eyeing Southeast Asia.
Beyond the exhibition floor, the expo will feature a robust lineup of side events. This includes business matching sessions, buyer networking events, product showcases, and industry seminars designed to foster long-term commercial partnerships.
Note for attendees: As a professional B2B trade show, IBTE 2026 is strictly reserved for industry players from August 19 to 21, and visitors under 16 will not be permitted entry. However, the exhibition will open its doors to the general public on its final day, August 22.
