JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com —Jakarta is gearing up to host the 8th edition of the Indonesia International Consumer Electronics & Smart Appliances Expo (IEAE) from August 5 to 7, 2026. Held at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, the event promises a massive showcase of the latest in smart living and consumer tech.
Organized by Chaoyu Exhibition, this year’s B2B trade show is expanding significantly. Roughly 350 manufacturing companies will set up across 500 booths in Halls A1, A2, and A3, displaying over 50,000 new and best-selling products. Reflecting the growing clout of the event, a quarter of the floor space is dedicated to premium custom booths from leading brands.
The expo serves as a major bridge between Southeast Asia and global manufacturing hubs. About 90% of exhibitors are original equipment manufacturers (OEMs and ODMs) straight out of China’s top tech centers, including Shenzhen, Dongguan, and Guangzhou. A major draw this year is the Zhanjiang Home Appliance Industrial Base Pavilion, which will feature more than 20 leading makers of modern kitchen and household appliances. Local Indonesian companies will also be on the floor, pitching their innovations alongside international heavyweights to boost their global competitiveness.
With shifting consumer habits, artificial intelligence and smart home ecosystems are dominating the 2026 lineup. Buyers can expect to see everything from smart wearables and customizable keyboards to automated coffee machines, juicers, and smart rice cookers, all designed to deliver efficiency and support healthier lifestyles.
For Indonesia—already one of Southeast Asia’s biggest electronics markets—IEAE 2026 acts as a vital networking ground. The event will allow global manufacturers to strike direct deals with local importers, distributors, retailers, and e-commerce platforms, cementing Jakarta’s role as a key hub for tech innovation in the region.
