JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com — Pet lovers in Jakarta have something exciting to look forward to next month as the Jakarta International Pet Show (JIPS) 2026 returns from July 3 to 5 at the Nusantara International Convention and Exhibition (NICE), PIK 2.
Organized by Mavic Dyandra Internasional, this year’s exhibition operates under the theme “Diverse Pet,” celebrating a vast array of animals spanning dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and various exotic species. Organizers are anticipating a massive turnout, with projections of over 20,000 visitors throughout the three-day event.
More Than Just a Hobby
As pet ownership trends shift in Indonesia, the event aims to reflect how animals have integrated into modern living. Bunga Swastika Putri, General Manager of Mavic Dyandra Internasional, noted that pets have transcended being mere hobbies to become true family members and a core part of today’s lifestyle. Project Director Adhika Arthaparty emphasized this by stating the event is designed to be highly inclusive, catering to hardcore enthusiast communities, families, and the general public alike.
Visitors will have access to a comprehensive exhibition featuring a wide range of pet industry brands, covering everything from pet food and health products to accessories and habitat needs.
Interactive Programs and Exotic Exhibits
Beyond the shopping experience, JIPS 2026 is packed with interactive and educational programs grouped into Family Attraction, Competition, Educational, and Lifestyle Experience.
Highlights for families and animal enthusiasts include:
Competitions and Community Engagement
For those looking for action, the event will host the “Ninja Dog Warrior” and “Fun Dog Agility” competitions, which are open to both professionals and the public. Reptile lovers can dive into “Morphvolution,” an event that combines a reptile exhibition with a gecko competition featuring 17 categories and a total prize pool of Rp 19,000,000.
The schedule also emphasizes education and lifestyle bonding. The “Heroes on Four Paws” talk show will feature the Animal Police Directorate and SAR DOG Indonesia discussing animal rescues and safety. Meanwhile, owners can bond directly with their pets through unique activities like pet-friendly Cooking Classes and Yoga with Pets.
