Syailendra & Hana Bank Expand Retail Access to 6 Mutual Funds

(Syailendra & Hana Bank)

To broaden public access to mutual fund investments, Syailendra Capital has established a strategic partnership with PT Bank KEB Hana Indonesia (Hana Bank). This collaboration aims to offer Syailendra Capital’s mutual fund products directly through Hana Bank’s digital application and branch network, expanding access for retail customers.

Through this partnership, Hana Bank customers can now easily purchase mutual fund products via the MyHana Mobile Banking application without needing to open a separate investment account. The initiative expands the distribution channels for Syailendra Capital’s investment products while providing Hana Bank customers with affordable, secure, and flexible options to achieve their financial goals.

This move aligns with the positive trend of financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia. According to the 2025 National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK) by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the national financial literacy index reached 66.46%, with the financial inclusion index at 80.51%. Furthermore, the number of mutual fund investors continues to grow, reaching 15.35 million as of April 2025, indicating rising public interest in capital market products.

“The continued growth in mutual fund investment is the foundation for our partnership with Syailendra Capital. This collaboration reflects Hana Bank’s commitment to strengthening our wealth management business and presenting more investment choices to help customers achieve their financial goals,” said Devi Agustino Haryanto, Head of Wealth Management at Hana Bank.

Victor Teja, Chief Retail Officer of Syailendra Capital, added, “We welcome this collaboration as a tangible step in expanding access to safe, affordable, and inclusive investments. Amidst current economic dynamics, we believe in the importance of providing broader public access to relevant investment products for both novice and experienced investors. We aim to deliver investment solutions that not only offer optimal long-term return opportunities but are also accompanied by measured risk levels.”

The partnership introduces six of Syailendra’s flagship mutual funds to Hana Bank customers:

  • Syailendra Dana Kas (SDK): A Money Market Fund that invests in money market instruments and/or short-term debt securities from the government and corporations. It is suitable for conservative investors with short-term goals due to its relatively low risk and high liquidity.
  • Syailendra Fixed Income Fund (SFIF): A Fixed Income Fund that allocates the majority of its funds to Government Bonds (SUN), sukuk, and high-rated corporate bonds. This fund is ideal for investors with a moderate risk profile who prioritize stability and measurable returns over the medium to long term.
  • Syailendra Pendapatan Tetap Premium (SPTP): A Fixed Income Fund placing most of its portfolio in quality corporate bonds, while also diversifying into government bonds, money markets, and stocks. It suits moderate investors seeking a balance between return potential and measured risk.
  • Syailendra Balanced Opportunity Fund (SBOF): A Balanced Fund employing an active strategy in asset rotation and selective stock picking. Its allocation flexibility makes it suitable for moderate to aggressive investors looking for optimal growth with managed risk.
  • Syailendra Equity Opportunity Fund (SEOF): An active Equity Fund using a bottom-up stock-picking strategy to target high-potential stocks. It is designed for aggressive investors who aim for long-term growth and are prepared for market fluctuations.
  • Syailendra MSCI Indonesia Value Index Fund (SMSCI): An Index Fund that tracks the performance of the MSCI Indonesia Value Index, which comprises undervalued stocks with strong fundamentals. With a passive strategy, it is suitable for aggressive investors seeking cost efficiency, transparency, and exposure to the long-term growth potential of value stocks.

Customers can access all of these products directly through the MyHana Mobile Banking application, which now includes the “Hana Advisor” feature to help clients select products to optimize their portfolios. In addition to the digital channel, customers can also consult directly with marketing staff at all Hana Bank branch offices for personalized investment guidance.

“Through this collaboration, we want to ensure that every Hana Bank customer, from all backgrounds, has access to investment products that are not only safe and affordable but also relevant to their present and future life needs,” Victor Teja concluded. “We believe that inclusive investment is the main foundation for building a better financial future.”
