JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com – Changan Automobile delivered strong performance throughout 2025, with significant growth in its new energy vehicle (NEV) segment, global markets, and the company’s strategic transformation.
In a press release received by Jakartaweekly.com, Changan Automobile reported annual sales of 2,913 million units, up 8,54% year-on-year and marking its highest figure in the past nine years.
This achievement brought its cumulative vehicle sales to 30 million units, “making Changan the fastest Chinese automotive brand to reach this milestone,” the company stated.
Of the total, NEV sales reached 1,11 million units, increasing 51,1% year-on-year and setting a new record. Meanwhile, international market sales also hit a record of 637.300 units, growing 18,85% compared to 2024.
In terms of financial performance, Changan recorded revenue of RMB 164 billion in 2025, up 2,67% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 4,075 billion, while normalized net profit stood at RMB 2,795 billion, rising 8,03% from the previous year.
Throughout the year, investment in research and development (R&D) reached RMB 12,6 billion, accounting for more than 7,67% of total revenue. This figure increased by 24% year-on-year.
Changan Automobile’s diverse brand portfolio also posted solid performance across various segments in 2025, including premium, new energy vehicles, passenger vehicles, and commercial vehicles.
In the premium segment, AVATR recorded annual sales of 123.472 units, with monthly sales consistently exceeding 10.000 units for 10 consecutive months. AVATR Technology was also included in the 2025 Global Unicorn 500 list, ranking 135th globally and 46th in China.
Changan Deepal recorded annual sales of 325.096 vehicles, up 44,4% compared to 2024, and reached a cumulative total of 400.000 units in just 29 months, setting a new speed record in its segment.
Changan Deepal was also recognized as one of the first flagship brands in a state-owned enterprise brand leadership initiative and successfully completed a funding round worth over RMB 6,1 billion.
Changan Nevo also demonstrated significant growth, with sales of 410.495 units in 2025, up 42,6% year-on-year, driven by its product lineup entering the 2,0 era with the launch of the Q07, A06, and All-New Q05.
The Q07 maintained average monthly sales above 10.000 units, the A06 recorded monthly sales exceeding 10.000 units, and the All-New Q05 received 20.000 orders in its first month after launch.
Changan Uni remained a major contributor to overall sales, reaching 919.721 units in 2025. The EADO series sold 210.599 units, ranking first in China’s gasoline sedan segment, with cumulative sales surpassing 2 million units as of April 2026. The CS75 series recorded 217.522 units sold during the year, exceeding 3 million units cumulatively.
In the light commercial vehicle segment, Changan Kaicheng recorded sales of 260.648 units, up 17,8% year-on-year. Export performance rose to 87.495 units, increasing 31,1%, while pickup truck sales reached 56.644 units, up 8,9%.
