CLEO Expands Production Network with New Factories Across Indonesia

JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com PT Sariguna Primatirta Tbk (IDX: CLEO) is ramping up its expansion strategy in 2026, with plans to significantly increase production capacity through the addition of new factories across Indonesia.

The bottled drinking water (AMDK) producer is set to operate three new production facilities in Palu, Pontianak, and Pekanbaru. The Palu factory is scheduled to begin operations in the third quarter of 2026, followed by Pontianak and Pekanbaru in the fourth quarter.

This expansion is expected to strengthen CLEO’s production capacity and distribution reach, enabling the company to better serve growing demand across key regions.

“The expansion strategy is our consistent effort to stay close to customers while supporting long-term business growth,” said CEO Melisa Patricia.

Expansion Driving Performance

CLEO’s aggressive expansion comes on the back of solid first-quarter performance, signaling strong demand for its products. In the January–March period, the company recorded sales of IDR774.4 billion, marking a 15.8% year-on-year increase.

Growth was supported across all segments, with the bottled segment remaining the largest contributor, while non-bottled products also posted double-digit growth.

According to the company, increased production capacity from previous expansions has already contributed to higher sales volumes, particularly in newly developed regions. Factory optimization and improved supply capabilities have allowed CLEO to better capture demand in both urban and emerging markets.

Net profit reached IDR122.6 billion in the first quarter, up 5.2% year-on-year, reflecting the company’s ability to maintain profitability amid intense competition in Indonesia’s bottled water industry.

Long-Term Growth Strategy

Looking ahead, CLEO plans to continue expanding beyond the three new facilities currently in development. The company has outlined plans to add at least three more production sites in high-potential regions across Indonesia.

This ongoing expansion is aimed at reinforcing CLEO’s position as a leading player in the AMDK sector by:

  • Expanding distribution coverage nationwide
  • Increasing production efficiency and capacity
  • Supporting sustainable long-term growth

With a strategy centered on proximity to consumers and scalable infrastructure, CLEO is positioning itself to capitalize on rising demand for bottled drinking water in Indonesia.

The upcoming facilities in Palu, Pontianak, and Pekanbaru are expected to play a crucial role in driving performance not only in 2026 but also in the years ahead, as the company continues to build a stronger national footprint.
