JAKARTA — Jakartaweekly.com. PT Zurich Asuransi Indonesia Tbk (Zurich) and PT Home Credit Indonesia (Home Credit) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership aimed at making insurance protection more accessible to Indonesian consumers through digital channels.
Through the collaboration, the two companies will integrate insurance protection for gadgets and household contents into Home Credit’s digital customer experience. The initiative is designed to provide consumers with practical, relevant, and convenient protection solutions that align with modern lifestyles.
President Director of PT Zurich Asuransi Indonesia Tbk, Edhi Tjahja Negara, said that cross-industry collaboration within the financial sector plays an important role in expanding insurance inclusion in Indonesia.
“Zurich believes that protection should become increasingly accessible and relevant to people’s daily needs. Through this collaboration, we aim to deliver a simpler and more convenient experience for Home Credit customers to obtain insurance protection,” said Edhi.
Meanwhile, Chief Product Officer of PT Home Credit Indonesia, Manu Pal, said the partnership aligns with the company’s commitment to creating added value for customers through a more integrated ecosystem.
“At Home Credit, our mission is to make people’s needs more affordable—not only by helping them acquire the products they need, but also by ensuring they can use them with peace of mind. Through this partnership with Zurich Insurance Indonesia, as part of the MUFG ecosystem in Indonesia, Home Credit is combining financing and protection solutions to provide a more comprehensive customer experience, from ownership to asset protection, while supporting growth within a shared ecosystem,” Manu said.
Under the agreement, Zurich and Home Credit will introduce a range of digital protection solutions, including insurance coverage for gadgets against accidental damage and unforeseen incidents, as well as home contents insurance designed to help customers safeguard their valuable possessions.
The protection services will be accessible through Home Credit’s digital ecosystem, allowing customers across Indonesia to benefit from the offerings.
In the initial phase, the partnership will focus on everyday protection needs, particularly gadgets and household contents. Over time, the collaboration is expected to expand into broader insurance offerings that adapt to evolving consumer lifestyles and protection requirements.
The companies said the initiative also reflects their commitment to improving financial literacy and insurance inclusion in Indonesia through customer-centric innovation and digital services.
Going forward, Zurich and Home Credit plan to continue developing products and services that address the changing needs of Indonesian consumers.
