JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com — The Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) closed slightly higher in Monday’s trading session (Aug. 31, 2026). The index rose 7.36 points, or 0.11%, to 6,525.478 from the previous close of 6,518.121, after trading in a range of 6,476.175 to 6,528.099 during the session.
The gain came amid relatively active stock trading. Total stock trading value reached Rp24.996 trillion, with trading volume of 50.34 trillion shares and 2,372,116 transactions.
Among the stocks with the highest trading values, BBCA ranked first with a total trading value of Rp1.49 trillion. The stock recorded trading volume of 230.90 million shares at Rp6,475 per share.
CPIN followed with a trading value of Rp1.41 trillion, with 471.53 million shares changing hands at Rp2,980 per share. BBRI ranked third, recording Rp1.15 trillion in trading value, with a volume of 353.83 million shares at Rp3,250 per share.
Meanwhile, BMRI recorded a trading value of Rp980.05 billion, with 231.36 million shares traded at Rp4,230 per share. EMAS followed with Rp786.53 billion in trading value, a volume of 84.67 million units, and a price of Rp9,600.
KOTA recorded a trading value of Rp743.28 billion. The stock posted the highest trading volume among the seven stocks listed, reaching 3.83 billion shares, at Rp216 per share.
DSSA completed the list of the seven stocks with the highest trading values, recording Rp661.24 billion in trading value, with 589.12 million shares traded at Rp1,110 per share.
The IHSG’s gain was accompanied by increases in several major indices. The LQ45 rose 0.31% to 643.825, while the IDX30 gained 0.41% to 360.382 and the IDX80 advanced 0.34% to 96.967.
On the other hand, the IDXLQ45LCL was among the indices moving in the opposite direction, declining 0.12% to 93.536.
Trading activity was also recorded across other equity instruments. Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) trading reached Rp894.30 billion, with a volume of 2.61 billion units and 1,371 transactions.
Meanwhile, Structured Warrant trading value reached Rp11.69 billion, with a volume of 818.44 million units and 10,119 transactions. Trading in Real Estate Investment Funds (DIRE) recorded Rp12.64 billion in value, with a volume of 232,500 units and 51 transactions.
With a 0.11% gain, the IHSG ended Monday’s trading at 6,525.478. Stocks remained the most actively traded equity instrument, both in terms of trading value and transaction frequency, with total trading value approaching Rp25 trillion.
