JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com — The international Emergency Disaster Reduction & Rescue (EDRR) Expo Indonesia 2026 will return on August 12–14, 2026, at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta, featuring a wide range of advanced disaster mitigation and emergency response technologies.

Fiona Bai, Vice President of Shanghai International Exhibition (Group) Co. Ltd (SIEC)–CPIT Shanghai, said international collaboration is crucial in addressing increasingly complex disaster challenges around the world.

According to her, EDRR Indonesia 2026 serves as a bridge connecting global technological innovations with real-world disaster management needs.

“We are bringing global safety technologies and experts to Indonesia because we see a strong commitment from the Indonesian government and its institutions to continuously strengthen their disaster mitigation systems,” Fiona said in Jakarta on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Fiona explained that EDRR Indonesia 2026 will bring together industry players, safety equipment manufacturers, government agencies, humanitarian organizations, and safety experts from various countries.

She added that the exhibition is expected to serve as a platform for technology exchange, innovation development, and collaboration opportunities in disaster mitigation and emergency response.

In addition to showcasing the latest products and technologies, EDRR Indonesia 2026 will host dozens of seminars, workshops, and live rescue simulations led by experts in disaster risk management.

Several institutions, including the Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD DKI Jakarta), the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Industry, and the Indonesia Defense University, will participate as partners and speakers in various discussion sessions.

On the same occasion, Seven Event Project Director Vista Limbong said EDRR Indonesia 2026 is designed as a business-to-business (B2B) platform connecting safety technology manufacturers with government agencies, private-sector companies, and humanitarian organizations.

“Through EDRR Indonesia 2026, we aim to facilitate meetings between safety technology manufacturers and government agencies, the private sector, and humanitarian organizations,” he said.

Vista noted that this year’s exhibition will focus on introducing future-ready technological solutions that are more practical, efficient, and ready to be integrated to accelerate emergency response and reduce disaster risks in Indonesia.

He added that the seminars and workshops held throughout the exhibition are expected to provide a platform for sharing experiences, insights, and best practices in strengthening disaster risk management systems.

The participation of government institutions and industry stakeholders also reflects Indonesia’s commitment to building a more integrated, technology-driven disaster mitigation system.
