JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com – Hino unveiled Bus 136 MDBL 4×4 at GIICOMVEC 2026, introducing a new transport solution designed to handle heavy-duty operations in extreme terrains such as plantations and mining sites.
The latest model reflects the company’s commitment to delivering reliable mobility solutions for industries operating in challenging environments.
Alex Sutisna, Vice President Director of PT Hino Motors Sales Indonesia (HMSI), said the company recognizes that each sector requires different operational capabilities.
“Through the introduction of the Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4×4, we aim to provide a safe and reliable transportation solution for plantation and mining companies, particularly in supporting worker mobility across demanding operational areas,” Alex said in a press statement on Thursday, April 9, 2026.
The newly unveiled Hino bus comes with a 4×4 drivetrain system, making it significantly different from conventional buses. The system utilizes a transfer case that distributes power efficiently to both front and rear wheels, ensuring optimal traction in off-road conditions.

To further enhance performance, the vehicle is equipped with a front stabilizer and a wider front track, improving stability and reducing body roll. Its high ground clearance also enables the bus to safely traverse steep, rocky, uneven, and uphill terrains.
The Hino Bus 136 MDBL 4×4 is powered by an N04C engine that complies with Euro 4 emission standards. It is designed to operate intensively for up to 24 hours in harsh working environments, making it suitable for continuous industrial use.
Notably, the model is the only one in its class produced by an authorized sole agent (ATPM) and has secured a Type Approval Certificate (SUT), allowing it to be legally operated on public roads—an important advantage for companies requiring flexible mobility between operational and public areas.
In addition to the Hino unveiled Bus 136 MDBL 4×4, the company also showcased a lineup of its flagship commercial vehicles that have long supported various industrial sectors in Indonesia.
From the medium-duty segment, Hino displayed the Hino 500 Series FM 280 JD, known for its durability as a dump truck in tough terrain, as well as the Hino 500 Series FLX 280 JW for logistics and distribution needs.
