JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com—Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled the Phantom Regatta, a one-off Phantom Extended created as a tribute to the tradition of competitive sailing along England’s southern coast. The luxury sedan is scheduled to make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026.

Phantom Regatta draws inspiration from the waters of The Solent and Chichester Harbour, located near Goodwood, the home of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The area also has historical significance for Rolls-Royce co-founder Sir Henry Royce, who once lived in West Wittering, approximately 13 kilometers from the company’s current headquarters.

Head of Bespoke at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Phil Fabre de la Grange, said Phantom Regatta reflects the work of the marque’s designers, engineers, and craftspeople in translating the character of luxury sailing into the flagship sedan.

“Phantom Regatta captures the spirit of sailing through its colors, materials, and sense of movement, while demonstrating the capabilities of Rolls-Royce Bespoke in telling a story through hand-crafted paint, leather, wood, and metal,” Phil said recently.

Visually, Phantom Regatta features a two-tone exterior finished in Regatta Blue on the upper body and English White on the lower section. The color division is designed to resemble the line where a yacht’s hull meets the sea. The car also rides on 22-inch fully polished disc wheels inspired by the polished steel winches found on racing sailboats.

Inside the cabin, the front seats are upholstered in Navy Blue leather, while the rear compartment is finished in Grace White leather, symbolizing billowing yacht sails. The RR monograms are embroidered in Turchese, while the interior combines Piano Milori veneer and Open Pore Royal Walnut with a satin finish.

One of the most distinctive features is the bespoke picnic table designed to resemble a yacht’s deck. It is crafted from 16 slats of Royal Walnut, all cut from the same section of timber to ensure a consistent wood grain pattern. The handcrafted process required approximately 120 hours to complete.

Phantom Regatta also features a hand-painted Gallery artwork titled “Watercolour”, stretching across the dashboard. The piece employs a special painting technique to recreate the movement of ocean waves.

Meanwhile, the cabin ceiling is fitted with a Bespoke Starlight Headliner incorporating 1,307 fiber-optic lights, arranged in a pattern inspired by the tidal currents surrounding the Isle of Wight. Rolls-Royce has also engraved the geographical coordinates of Goodwood House and the Home of Rolls-Royce onto the air vent controls, a hidden detail that becomes visible only when the vents are opened.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Regatta at a Glance

Phantom Regatta is based on the Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended, the brand’s flagship long-wheelbase luxury sedan offering an exceptionally spacious cabin. It features a four-door, four-seat configuration, with every interior element created through the Rolls-Royce Bespoke program.

Although Rolls-Royce has not disclosed the model’s dedicated mechanical specifications, Phantom Regatta shares the Phantom Extended platform, which is globally powered by a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine producing 571 PS and 900 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.

Phantom Regatta will make its first public appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026 as one of the latest creations from Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke division, which specializes in producing highly exclusive, tailor-made vehicles commissioned by clients.
