YKK ASAO Kids Football Clinic Returns, Teams Up with Real Madrid Foundation

TANGERANG SELATAN, Jakartaweekly.com — The YKK ASAO Kids Football Clinic (YKK AKFC) has returned to Indonesia for its fourth edition, partnering with the Real Madrid Foundation (RMF).

YKK Holding Asia Pte. Ltd. (YHA) President Kazuto Daimon said the program was not only aimed at introducing children to football but also at creating opportunities for them to learn and develop a range of skills.

“The YKK ASAO Kids Football Clinic is not just about football—it is about creating opportunities and building connections,” Kazuto said in Tangerang on Friday, August 28, 2026.

He said children, particularly those with limited access to sports, were given opportunities through the program to play, learn and grow.

“Through the program, they develop teamwork, confidence and resilience—skills that benefit them far beyond the football field,” he said.

The YKK AKFC is being held from August 28-30, 2026, at The Arena, British School Jakarta (BSJ), Tangerang Selatan. The program is organized by YHA in collaboration with PT YKK Zipper Indonesia and PT YKK Zipco Indonesia.

Around 340 children from orphanages and community groups are taking part in this year’s activities. In addition to football training, YKK has added a carnival to mark the program’s 30th edition.

Each participant receives a complete football kit consisting of a jersey, shorts, socks and football boots. They also receive medals, certificates of participation and exclusive souvenirs.

Engaging Indonesian Coaches

The collaboration with the Real Madrid Foundation is also intended to deliver long-term benefits for the development of youth football in Indonesia.

More than 50 Indonesian football coaches took part in a Coaches Clinic led by RMF professionals. The local coaches received training in youth football coaching methodologies and techniques through practical on-field sessions.

The knowledge gained is expected to be applied and shared within their respective communities, allowing the program’s benefits to reach the next generation of young footballers.

At this year’s YKK AKFC, three professional RMF coaches are leading training sessions for the children. They are introducing basic football skills, techniques and teamwork through interactive and enjoyable exercises.

YKK is also ensuring that the equipment used during the program continues to benefit the community after the clinic ends. All footballs and training equipment used during the clinic will be donated to local schools and nonprofit organizations.

Reaching More Than 8,000 Children

The YKK ASAO Kids Football Clinic was first launched in 2007 as a CSR program that uses football as a means of providing learning experiences and sports activities for children from underserved communities.

The program has been held in 13 Asian countries: Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.

Over 17 years of implementation, excluding a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, YKK AKFC has reached more than 8,000 children and 840 local coaches.
