Narantraya Jeihan Widjaya Finishes 2nd in 105cm U21 Class at 2026 Panglima TNI Cup

WEST BANDUNG, West Java. —Young equestrian Narantraya Jeihan Widjaya delivered an impressive performance at the 2026 Panglima TNI Cup, finishing runner-up in the 105-centimeter U21 Show Jumping class. At just 12 years old, Jeihan competed aboard Willoo from Almor Stable, holding her own against riders considerably older and more experienced than her.

Despite being one of the youngest competitors in the class, Jeihan maintained a strong pace and completed the course competitively. In Round 1, she posted the fastest time of 63.81 seconds. Although she incurred four jumping penalties after knocking down an obstacle, her time remained the best in the round, securing her a place in the Jump-Off.

The competition intensified in the decisive round. Riding Willoo once again, Jeihan completed the course in 43.97 seconds to finish second overall in the 105cm U21 class. The result was particularly significant for the 12-year-old rider, who had to compete against considerably more senior riders in the U21 category.

Her qualification for the Jump-Off also highlighted her growing technical ability, speed and confidence in the saddle. The 2026 Panglima TNI Cup is part of Jeihan’s preparations for the 2026 West Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov Jabar), where she will represent Bekasi.

Jeihan’s parent, Anny Gunadi, said the family was pleased with the young rider’s progress. Jeihan has deliberately been entered in more competitive classes above her age group to help strengthen her competitive mindset. Despite being only 12, she has regularly competed in U17 and U21 classes to gain experience and develop the mentality needed to compete at a higher level.

With more experience under her belt, Jeihan now has additional confidence as she prepares for the tougher competition at the West Java Provincial Sports Week. Together with Willoo from Almor Stable, she will continue to work on her technique, consistency and mental strength ahead of the event.

Her performance at the Panglima TNI Cup marks another step forward in Jeihan’s development as a show-jumping rider. Her 63.81-second performance in Round 1 and successful qualification for the Jump-Off provide valuable experience as she prepares for her next challenge with the Bekasi contingent.
