Pertamax Prices Increase, Still Cheapest in Asean
JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com — The government has officially raised the prices of non-subsidized fuels, Pertamax and Pertamax Green, effective June 10, 2026. Despite the increase, Pertamax remains the cheapest RON 92 gasoline among Asean countries.
According to the official website of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, the price of Pertamax (RON 92) has risen from Rp12,300 per liter to Rp16,250 per liter. Meanwhile, Pertamax Green (RON 95) has increased from Rp12,900 per liter to Rp17,000 per liter.
Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, explained that the adjustment in non-subsidized fuel prices follows prevailing regulations.
In addition, the policy is part of energy governance implementation aimed at maintaining a balance between business sustainability, service quality, and energy supply certainty for the public.
“The price adjustment for Pertamax and Pertamax Green was made following an evaluation process in accordance with the pricing formula established by the government,” he said on the company’s website on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
He added that the decision to raise the retail prices of Pertamax and Pertamax Green was made after coordination with the government as the regulator.
Meanwhile, he noted that subsidized fuel prices remain unchanged. Pertalite continues to be sold at Rp10,000 per liter, while Biosolar remains at Rp6,800 per liter.
Indonesia’s Pertamax Remains Cheaper
Despite the increase, Jakartaweekly.com found that Indonesia’s Pertamax remains the most affordable RON 92 gasoline compared with several neighboring countries.
Singapore records the highest gasoline prices in the region, with RON 92 retailing at around Rp47,000 per liter. Vietnam sells RON 92 at approximately Rp16,600 per liter. Meanwhile, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Laos do not offer RON 92 gasoline.

Global Oil Prices Continue to Rise
According to Jakartaweekly.com’s records , the fuel price increase comes amid rising global crude oil prices. As of Wednesday, June 10, 2026, Brent crude was trading at around US$86 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at approximately US$88 per barrel.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian government reported that the Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) reached US$106.56 per barrel in May 2026, up 65% from US$64.41 per barrel in January 2026.
The increase pushed oil prices well above the US$70-per-barrel assumption set in Indonesia’s 2026 state budget.
