Paradise Indonesia Leverages Eid Travel Boom, Develops Plaza 88 in Balikpapan

Jakartaweekly.com — Property developer PT Indonesian Paradise Property Tbk, also known as Paradise Indonesia, plans to leverage the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday period to strengthen the performance of its hospitality segment across several major destinations in Indonesia.

The company operates a portfolio of hotels and lifestyle properties in key tourism and urban markets such as Bali, Bandung, and Jakarta, which are expected to benefit from increased travel and tourism during the Eid holiday season.

Paradise Indonesia said the annual Ramadan and Eid travel period typically drives higher hotel occupancy and visitor activity across its properties. The company expects this year’s holiday season to provide an additional boost to its hospitality segment.

Based on its latest financial report as of September 2025, the company’s property segment recorded 7.7% year-on-year growth, contributing Rp457.1 billion to total revenue. With the Ramadan–Eid momentum, the company expects the hospitality segment to post further growth this quarter and support its overall performance target of 5–10% growth in 2026.

According to President Director and CEO Anthony P. Susilo, the company is continuing to pursue expansion while leveraging its lifestyle-oriented developments.

“We are optimistic that Paradise Indonesia can continue to grow sustainably through measured expansion in high-potential areas, while also maximizing the value of our iconic lifestyle projects,” Anthony said in a statement.

As part of its expansion strategy, the company is also strengthening its presence outside Java through the development of Plaza 88, a new lifestyle property project in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.

The Phase I development of Plaza 88 will begin with the construction of a retail complex featuring modern shop houses in a strategic area of Balikpapan. The project is part of Paradise Indonesia’s broader plan to utilize approximately 8 hectares of land previously left undeveloped for nearly a decade by a former developer.

Under the phased development plan, the first stage will utilize around 3 hectares of land, with further development planned gradually in the coming years as the company expands its presence in emerging markets outside Java.
