Jakartaweekly.com— PT Home Credit Indonesia has launched its Ramadan campaign, #BawaPulangBerkah, as part of an effort to expand public access to financing during the holy month when consumer spending traditionally increases.
Ramadan is typically a peak period for household spending in Indonesia as families prepare for religious celebrations, homecoming travel, and social gatherings.
A survey conducted by Qualtrics in collaboration with Home Credit between 18–25 February 2026 found that fashion, cosmetics, and gifts were the most commonly purchased product categories among respondents in major Indonesian cities during the early Ramadan period.
The survey also showed that smartphones (28%) and electronic appliances (27%), including refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, and televisions, ranked among the top five most purchased items.
Offline shopping remains dominant for certain goods, with smartphones, electronic devices, and furniture frequently purchased in physical stores. Installment payments are also widely used as a payment method for these purchases.
Home Credit’s internal data indicates that financing activity tends to rise during the fasting month. In Ramadan 2025, the company recorded a 22% increase in financing volume compared with the average monthly sales during the three months preceding the Ramadan period.
Furniture financing saw the highest growth at 58%, followed by smartphones at 24% and electronic appliances at 18%, according to company data.
“Ramadan is a special moment for Indonesians, often used to gather with family and travel to their hometowns. Through the #BawaPulangBerkah campaign, we aim to provide offers that help people meet their needs in a more manageable way,” said Animesh Narang, Chief Executive Officer of Home Credit Indonesia.
The campaign includes financing programs available to both new and existing customers through Home Credit’s product financing services at partner stores as well as its cash financing options.
Customers can also access promotional programs through the My Home Credit mobile application, including a “Spin the Wheel” feature that offers various rewards such as digital vouchers and consumer electronics.
Home Credit Indonesia says its services are currently available at more than 22,000 partner retail locations across more than 200 cities and regencies in Indonesia. Transactions are supported by more than 6,000 sales agents operating at partner stores nationwide. (***)
