JAKARTA, Jakartaweekly.com – Indonesia’s Ministry of Creative Economy has introduced the Architecture Acceleration Workshop (AAW) as part of the Disaster Risk Reduction, Resilience & Recovery (DR3) International Conference on Natural & Human Disasters 2026, aiming to strengthen architects’ capacity to address multi-hazard risks and promote more adaptive, technology-driven practices.
Deputy for Cultural Creativity and Design Yuke Sri Rahayu said resilience should be embedded across the architectural ecosystem, beyond its role as a design concept.
“Resilience is not just a design concept; it must become a policy framework, a business framework, and a professional practice framework. Moving forward, we need architects who are not only responsive to disasters but also capable of anticipating them, designing systems, and creating economic value from resilience solutions themselves,” she said in a press release, as of Sunday, April 19, 2026.
